| Updated April 15, 2007 Last night we raced at Selinsgrove Speedway. Off the trailer, we were fast in warmups and looked forward to a good night of racing. In our heat we had problems with the ignition and were forced to start the feature from the rear. Early in the feature we were decent and moved through the field with Jeff Rine who was forced to the rear with us after experiencing problems of his own in the heat. We moved up into 9th spot and were gaining ground when more bad luck hit. Our right front fender rolled up under the car and messed up the steering. Turning the car to the right was nearly impossible and we lost a few spots late in the race and ended up finishing 11th. The night was bad overall because of more bad luck than anything else. The main thing is we brought the car home in one piece and are ready to go again next week. Hopefully our luck will change and the gremlins head to another garage to make a home for themselves. We had a lot of good fortune over the past two seasons and luck is a big part of racing. All we can do is keep working on the car to make it better weekly and hope for the best. We do feel our car is as good as any out there with the combination of Rayburn chassis and Pro Power race engines. This week we plan on making the drive to Hagerstown on Friday night for the first night of the Hagerstown/Winchester Challenge. A pill draw will be used for starting spots in heat races instead of handicapping, so with some luck as I mentioned earlier, we have as good a chance as everyone else. We'll return to Selinsgrove again on Saturday night. Our 2007 T-Shirts should be here within the next few weeks. Keep checking back for updates and photos in the novelty stand area of the website. Thanks to all our fans and sponsors for your continued support of our race team. Keep checking the website for additional changes as we continue to build it. |
